Women’s team top in GC, Wild must settle for second at Holland Ladies Tour

Kirsten Wild (NED) finished in second again today in the final stage of the Holland Ladies Tour, but it wasn't quite good enough to win overall GC. Marianne Vos (NED-Nederland Bloeit), won the stage as well as the sprint bonus points today putting her 3 seconds ahead of Wild, giving Vos the overall GC victory. Shelley Evans Olds (USA) took third in the final stage today. read more

Wild now tops GC after win and 3rd in TT

Kirsten Wild (NED) now sits atop the GC at the Holland Ladies Tour after today's two stages. Wild won the fifth stage, 80.4 km road race this morning and placed third in this afternoons' time trial. That combination gave her a minute and three second lead over former GC leader Martine Bras who now sits in sixth place. Wild has a three second lead on second place Marianne Vos (NED) going into tomorrow's final stage. read more

Top-20 for Bos in Vuelta sprint

Cervélo TestTeam's Theo Bos (NED) sprinted to 17th in Friday's seventh stage at the Vuelta a España as the Dutch sprinter continues to make progress in the bunch sprints. Cervélo's stage-winner Thor Hushovd (NOR) stepped aside a day after winning in Murcia to let Bos, a former track cycling star, have a shot at the bunch sprint Friday. Alessandro Pettachi (ITA) won the stage and Philippe Gilbert (BEL) retained the overall leader's jersey. read more
