Cervélo TestTeam's Regina Bruins (NED) finished second today on the challenging 23.3 km individual time trial around Schleiz. The winner Hanka Kupfernagel (GER) had a ten second gap over Bruins. In third place was Russia's Olga Zabelinskaja, the current GC leader, who was twenty-six seconds behind the winner."I'm very satisfied today's results," said Egon van Kessel, Sports Director, Cervélo TestTeam. "Regina was strong today, especially because she came back into racing after a longer break. Iris and Charlotte were racing in the rain on this technical course with a lot of curves and so they had to be more careful, but they made a good performance and finished among the top 15. One piece of bad news today, Elizabeth Armitstead (GBR) was sick and couldn't start. All in all I am very happy and looking forward to the final two stages. For tomorrow, our goal will be to go for a stage victory but without too many risks. Our main aim will be next weeks team time trial at the World Cup in Sweden."
The fifth stage of the International Thüringen Rundfahrt, around Schmölln will be 115.8 km long, consisting of six loops on the same course.

Congratulations to all the women on CTT. It has and continues to be a great season (doing better than the men)! You all should get much more attention and publicity. It's a pleasure following all of you thus far. Leave a Comment
